As Auckland's newest island destination, there's usually something happening on Rotoroa Island. Check these pages for upcoming or recent events, news and promotions.
Rotoroa is home to a major new sculpture by New Zealand artist,
Chris Booth and has an award-wining exhibition centre and museum
featuring the work of a number of New Zealand artists. The island
offers artist talks and participates in art events such as Artweek 2012. This year, you can hear two
artists with works on Rotoroa, discuss their work.
Rotoroa offers a number of public and corporate volunteer days
every year. Whether you're looking to organise an away-day for your
team, or are interested in conservation, there are plenty of
opportunities to give something back when you volunteer on Rotoroa
Island. For more information, click here>
Rotoroa participates in heritage events such as the Auckland
Heritage Festival. This year, the island offered a free guided
walk with Phil Salisbury, Rotoroa's caretaker manager.
