Chris Booth Sculpture

Found along the Southern Loop Track, Kaitiaki is a striking sculpture comprising three post-tensioned arcs of boulders leaning toward Ruthe Passage. Inspired by wind-bent pohutukawa branches, this impressive artwork was commissioned in memory of Jack Plowman, celebrating his lifelong connection to Rotoroa Island and the Hauraki Gulf.

Cemetery

Pay respects at Rotoroa's historic cemetery, where key figures from the island's past rest with breathtaking panoramic views toward Coromandel Peninsula. Located just above Ladies Bay and accessed via the North Tower Loop Walk Track, it's a peaceful place to reflect on the island's rich history.
