Nightly Rate: Based on 4 people. Additional adults (up to 6 total) charged at additional cost.

Minimum Stay: 2 nights required for all bookings.

Children's Rates: Children 2 years and over charged at full rate. Children under 2 are free.

Check-In: 10am–4pm (except if you're arriving by ferry on a Friday evening, someone will still be there to greet you). All arrivals are greeted by staff.

Check-Out: 10am

Late Check-Out: Available for $200 additional charge (subject to availability)

Bag Storage: Your bags can be stored on the island while you continue your visit.

Public Transport: Explore Group offers a regular scheduled ferry service. Accommodation guests receive 20% discount on full-priced ferry tickets (code provided with booking). There is also Auckland Sea Shuttles (water taxi, 021 779 371).

Private Transport: Guests may arrive by private boat but must anchor (no moorings available).

On Arrival: Our ranger welcomes you and transports bags to your accommodation.

Phone & Connectivity: No landline in property—bring your cellphone and charger.

Alcohol Policy: You're welcome to bring alcohol, but we ask that you respect the history of Rotoroa Island, and please do not drink in excess.

Biosecurity Requirements: Rotoroa Island has a biosecurity management plan in place to protect the island's ecosystem.

  • Check bags and chilly bins for ants, insects, and stowaways
  • Check bags/boxes are fully enclosed with no holes.
  • Ensure shoes and bags are free of soil and seeds
  • Download and complete our biosecurity checklist before arrival and on departure.
  • Present the completed checklist when you arrive

Private Boats: Guests may arrive by private boat but must anchor (no moorings available).

Rubbish: Bins are provided for compost and general waste. Pack-in/pack-out for recycling — guests must take recycling home.
