Accommodation

Accommodation bookings on Rotoroa have been temporarily suspended due to an ongoing power outage on the island. The cable feeding electricity from Waiheke has been severed, leaving the island operating on generator power only. It may take some time for the cable to be repaired, so in the interim, day trippers are welcome to visit, but accommodation bookings cannot be made as guests staying overnight cannot be assured of electricity supply to the island's holiday homes. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope you will stay with us another time; bookings should be open from October, so if you're looking to book a spring or summer break, you can still do this online.

Where else can you almost have an island to yourself? All of the accommodation on Rotoroa has fantastic views and is renovated to a high standard in vibrant, vintage style. The holiday homes are rated Qualmark 4-star plus; the hostel is not Qualmark rated.
