Imagine yourself on a wildlife sanctuary, home to endangered native species like kiwi and takahē, beautiful beaches, bush walks, boutique accommodation and a museum detailing our fascinating history. It’s the idealic setting for retreats and family gatherings.
- Our accommodation and facilities work perfectly for business or private retreats for 10 - 38 people, or family/friends gatherings of up to 44 people.
- Our day facilities offer a setting for BBQs or picnics for up to 100 people.
- Group Guided Nature Walks (up to 20 people) and Volunteer activities (up to 50 people) can be added on request

Venue options
Our Salisbury Room is a large hall space with an adjoining small kitchen. Seats up to 100 people theatre style or 45 people banquet style. It includes use of AV projector with screen and speakers, chairs, tables and catering kit.
Our Super’s House offers a secluded space for small meetings or gatherings, It’s suitable for up to 40 people standing or 36 with combined indoor/outdoor seating. This can be booked for the regular rate. Guests need to clean, or can request cleaning service for additional fee
Our Chapel seats 90 guests.
The island has a range of Secluded Sanctuary Garden Spaces that can be booked for 2-hours.
Our public electric BBQs are located in Home Bay and Ladies Bay. These can be booked for 2-hours.
Whole Island accommodation bookings
Our three holiday homes plus Super’s House (boutique hostel) can sleep up to 44 people total. For whole island bookings, we offer 10% off accommodation.
