Recipe from the archives: jaffa fudge cake

Everyone loves fudge cake, but this version has a zesty twist involving oranges and condensed milk. Thanks to the Ladies of Rotoroa's recipe book.


4 oz butter
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 packet crushed vanilla wine biscuits
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 grated orange rind

Melt butter, sugar and condensed milk and stir into other ingredients. Press into a shall tin and ice with:

1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp orange juice
1 and 1/2 cups icing sugar
2 tsp condensed milk

Soften butter, stir in other ingredients, spread on base and sprinkle with coconut.
